Amazon & Pandora reported set to launch rival streaming services

Around two weeks ago we announced how Amazon were planning on launching a music streaming service aimed at users of its Echo service, the music streaming was rumored to be starting off at $5 a month.

According to reports from the news agency Reuters Pandora Media Inc (P.N) are planning to launch new versions of their streaming music services in coming weeks, the report is based on the New York Times citing several anonymous people with alleged knowledge of the matter.

The company is expected to launch the new on-demand platform by Christmas. If the reports are true these two companies would be competing with both Spotify and Apple Music.

Spotify is currently the company with most paying customers whilst Apple is quickly gaining users.
