Android users advised to change Snapchat passwords

A report by Zimperium shows that a fake Snapchat app made its way into the Google play store and was downloaded anything up to 10,000 times before it was removed. Once the app was installed users signed in using their credentials and were then greeted with numerous ad’s and messages confirming the app needed internet access to work etc. the Ad’s were all linked to a Google Ad’s account. The Play Store listing used Snap Inc . with the “.” Being the only indication that it was not the genuine version.
