Apple announces new Clips app

Today Apple released a new iPad and iPhone Red but they didn’t stop there today they also announced a brand new app called Clips.

Clips allows users to combine Photo’s, video clips and music with animated captions and effects and combine them into creative videos that can be shared through social networks such as Facebook and Instagram.

Apple has a feature that it’s calling Live Titles that lets you create animated captions and titles with voice input after you’ve combined whatever video and photos you want. There are also some familiar filters and effects available, including comic book filters, speech bubbles, shapes and full-screen animated posters.

in it’s press release apple states “Clips gives iPhone and iPad users a new way to express themselves through video, and it’s incredibly easy to use,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Apps Product Marketing. “The effects, filters and amazing new Live Titles we’ve designed for Clips let anyone make great-looking, easily sharable videos with just a few taps.”

The Clips app isn’t yet available but will launch on the App Store in April for free. It will be available on the following devices running iOS 10.3 or later: Phone 5s and later, the new 9.7-inch iPad, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad min 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation.
