Apple changes iCloud storage prices and sharing

Apple has updated and its iCloud storage pricing options eliminating the 1 terabyte option which was previously charged at $9.99, instead, users will get 2 terabytes which is great news however, all other pricing remains the same.

Another big change for regular users that Apple is now letting multiple people share an iCloud storage plan on iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra. Previously it wasn’t possible for different family members to use one shared iCloud account so this makes it easier and more cost effective which is great news. To upgrade your current plan simply follow below:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Storage. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage.

  2. Tap Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan.

  3. Choose a plan, then tap Buy and enter your Apple ID password.
