Apple has hired a former Warner Music executive Jeff Bronikowski

Apple has hired a former Warner Music executive to lead part of its Apple Music team.

The news comes from Reuters which says that the “Warner Music Group veteran Jeff Bronikowski said in a LinkedIn post late Monday that he has joined Apple Inc as global head of strategic music initiatives.”

Currently Apple has more than 60 million paid music subscribers to Spotify’s 124 million.

Previously Bronikowski served at The Echo Nest, which was acquired by Spotify,and then onto Warner Music Group as a senior vice president.
