Apple first announced “Apple Pay Cash” at their conference when they unveiled the new iPhone layouts but so far we have seen no signs of it going out of private testing, however Apple Pay is now available in iOS 11.2 beta for iPhone, iPad, and WatchOS 4.2 beta for the Apple Watch.
The new feature is only available in the USA and lets you send and receive payments using Apple Pay over iMessage as well as pay in stores with a new Apple Pay Cash virtual debit card.
The feature should appear automatically in the Messages app when messaging someone else who is also running the latest beta. Apple will be taking on the likes of Paypal and Square cash. Paypal has been criticised on many occasions over their charges for conversion and accepting payments from others plus fees for withdrawing money.
