Apple quietly extends iPhone 5 battery replacement scheme

In 2014 Apple launched its iPhone 5 battery replacement scheme and stated that they would cover phones purchased up to two years ago which covered sales betweeb2012 and 2013 which meant the program was due to end in March 2015. Not all iPhone 5 models were affected and so users had to get the device Serial number from iTunes and check online is there model was affected.

Apple has now updated their page which confirms that they are now extending the cover of these affected devices until January 2016 and so if users did buy the affected devices towards the end of manufacturing they still have time to get even placement battery on the device.
