Mozilla is ending FireFox support for Amazon Devices

Mozilla has confirmed that it will be ending support for Amazon devices such as the fire stick from April 30th 2021.

In a statement the organisation said “Starting on April 30, 2021, we will no longer support Firefox on Amazon Fire TV or Echo Show. You will no longer be able to install the app on FireTV, receive security updates, or be able to reinstall the app if you uninstall it starting on April 30, 2021. If you have Firefox set as your default browser on Echo Show, you will be redirected to Amazon Silk for web browsing starting April 30, 2021.“

Mozilla doesn’t provide any indication as to why they have decided to End support for these devices but this will undoubtedly be a blow to Amazon users. Firefox Browser, also known as Mozilla Firefox or simply Firefox, is a free and open-source[22] web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation and its subsidiary, the Mozilla Corporation
