Fitbit has announced their Apple Watch rival Fitbit Ionic, the announcement comes as no surprise as the surge was a toe dip into the smart watch market.
The Ionic will still give users the same great activity tracking, sleep tracking, and other metrics that they currently offer plus a whole new array of features such as•Run Direct
•Swim Excercise Mode
The Fitbit Ionic will also have 2.5GB of on device storage, improvements to their PurePulse heart rate tracking, Sp02 for estimating blood oxygen levels and an impressive a 4-day battery life with regular use, although only 10 hours with constant GPS or music playback.
The Fitbit App Gallery will feature third-party apps that can be downloaded directly onto your wrist. Currently Fitbit have announced three third-party partners for launch, Starbuck Coffee Company, Strava, and AccuWeather although I’m sure over time more will be added. The Ionic will be priced at $299.25.
