Google appears to have dropped support for the Pixel OG

Google released the pixel 4 last month and today users can get the new Android 10 update for the Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4. Currently, we are seeing new 10.0.0 files for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL (QD1A.190821.007.A3, QD1A.190821.014, QD1A.190821.014.C2), Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL (QP1A.191105.003), Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL (QP1A.191105.003), and Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (QP1A.191105.004).

Interestingly the Original Pixel is not listed in this update which aligns with Google’s support page that lists October, 2019 as the end of guaranteed security updates for the original Pixel and Pixel XL. Telephone and online support for the original device has also ended.

Users of the new pixel device may want to look at upgrading to the pixel 3 or 4 if they want support until at least 2021.
