Google RCS fail to send borrows a handy feature from iMessage

Google is continuing to roll out RCS (Rich Communication Services) more widely around the globe, Google is continuing to improve the feature through its Messages app. The latest feature is borrowed directly from iMessage and lets you reroute an RCS message to SMS in Google Messages.

Just like in iMessage occasionally when using RCS Chat, a message will fail to send. Google Messages is designed to fallback and reroute messages to SMS on those occasions. Android Police note that tapping the message brings up a little menu that offers two options: 1. Reroute that message to SMS (just like iMessage) 2. Cancel sending and delete it altogether.

This has been live in Google Messages for at least the past few releases, but only now has been widely noted.
