New wireless earbuds from Nothing will debut next month

Nothing's founder Carl Pei announced today that the company's debut pair of true wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear(1), will be unveiled at 9 a.m. ET on July 27th. Nothing previously announced, after Pei tweeted that the company was delaying the launch because it had "a few things left to finalize." Carl Pei is best known as one of the co-founders of OnePlus, a company with which he parted ways last year.

The details on the Nothing Ear are scant, but the company has teased several details about them in recent months. We know they'll have a "stripped-down aesthetic" with transparent materials in their construction and were designed in collaboration with Teenage Engineering. Nothing, on the other hand, has been far less forthcoming about the earbuds' technical specifications. Wireless earbuds are the first product category that Nothing is planning to launch.
